Here&#8217;s how I&#8217;ve been able to capture some of this beauty when I&#8217;m flying way up high.<\/p>\n<table border=\"1\" cellspacing=\"5\" cellpadding=\"5\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td colspan=\"2\"><strong>Up, Up and Away Suggestions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Ask for a window seat on left side of the aircraft. Approaches to landing are most often made with left hand turns.<\/li>\n<li>Turn the camera&#8217;s flash off.<\/li>\n<li>When the light is dim, set the ISO to 800 or higher.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid shots when the sun is shining directly at the plane&#8217;s windows.<\/li>\n<li>Rest the camera lens gently against the window.<\/li>\n<li>For takeoffs and landings, you&#8217;ll need to use a shutter speed of 1\/250 or faster.<br \/>\nAt cruise, you&#8217;ll be able to use a shutter speed of 1\/125.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr valign=\"top\">\n<td width=\"50%\"><center><a href=\".\/images\/travel\/IMG_2422.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[300]\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\".\/images\/travel\/IMG_2422s.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"169\"><\/a><\/center><br \/>\nOn an early morning flight we passed over the Rockies.
