Although its climate isn&#8217;t very hospitable, wildflowers do appear each Spring. However this past October, a series of rainstorms set in motion the favorable conditions for a literal explosion of colorful wildflowers that blanketed the normally harsh landscape of the park.<\/p>\n<p>This phenomenon happens seldom, perhaps once in every 10 or so years and arrived in mid-February.
