More Places to Go

These days, there are plenty of ways to share your photos across the Internet. One of the easiest, flexible and attractive ways is to get a free account at Jalbum.net.

The people at Jalbum have been making photo sharing software for several years now. Originally, you needed your own web server in order to take advantage of the jalbum software. However, they now offer 30MB of free space that you can leverage to share your memories across the Internet.

To see how easy it is to use their software, I went to jalbum.net and signed up for a free account. I then uploaded twenty or so photos and chose from one of the dozen or so styles. It was quick and easy. I was ready to share my images with the world. If I want, I can also limit the sharing to a select set of friends by password.

My first album of a group of older photographs from my collection was ready in less than five minutes – upload photos, choose a design and share. The design that I chose also has a built-in slideshow. Here’s the link to see this sample album http://arnielee.jalbum.net/Oldies

Jalbum.net makes it easy for you to notify others of your new photos through Facebook, Twitter, Digg, etc.

For iPhone / iPod Touch users is that the album is conveniently accessible remotely. It’s a neat way to share your photos while on the go.

If you want to share a lot of photos, you can upgrade the free account to one that provides 1GB of storage for about $30 per year (24 Euros).

Disclosure: While we like the jalbum software, we have no connection whatsoever with Jalbum.net
