Photographing the Picturetakers

Pictures of People Taking Pictures

Over the years, I’ve taken a lot of photographs.

While I have many idiosyncrasies, one of them is observing and sometimes photographing others who are also taking photographs.

I’ve captured a bunch of photographers taking pictures of their relatives and friends and/or the scenic surroundings that I am also there to record. Some are funny, some are serious. I have a good time recording these picture.

Below is part of my collection. Keep in mind that I am not photographing the surroundings, only the picturetaker. They are arranged by the location where taken and when possible I’ve included the date taken.

Yellowstone Geysers

A Virtual Tour of the Park

I have to admit that I’m addicted to our country’s national parks. Over the years I’ve visited many of the parks all over, from the east to the west and from the north to the south.

In particular I’ve trekked the 1300 miles from my home in Grand Rapids, Michigan to western Wyoming – home to Yellowstone National Park – at least a dozen times. Yellowstone is one of my favorite destinations.

The souvenirs that I take from Yellowstone are strictly the photographs and videos that I capture.

For those of you who might want to experience a few of the varied and amazing thermal features found in Yellowstone, I’ve posted them below.

PLease note that each geyser is on a separate page in order to minimize web page delay.

Aviation Snapshot

Things In and Around Airplanes

For many years part of our business was developing flight simulation software.

Our development activities had us traveling to many airports, airshows, exhibitions, conferences, flights and museums to conduct research for various software projects.

These photographs of “all things aviation related” are part of the activities that later turned into flight simulation products or events that I encountered while traveling.

Looking back this was an interesting and very enjoyable part of flying or looking up at the sky that span many years.

We hope that you enjoy these photos.
