I usually have a camera with me wherever I go just in case I see someone special. But I avoid imposing on the subject.
For special occasions, a camera with advanced features is usually called for. At concerts I’m courteous to other attendees so use a small, quality point-and-shoot model with a high range zoom lens and adjustable exposure settings.
Keep this in mind:”Don’t get so involved with the photography that you forget to enjoy the show!”
